In a daring mission, NASA took the risk to make a Nine month mission and launch it in Four months to beat the Russians to the moon. This unique spacecraft was not configured to go this distance, but test systems in Earth orbit. This means it’s Control Panel layout is different from those that went to the moon afterwards.
